Arriving in Essen
Arriving at our hotel is as easy as pie: Always head towards the centre, always towards the train station. The Sheraton Essen Hotel is very centrally located, just a 5-minute walk from the main station and the shopping street of Essen. From Düsseldorf Airport you require just half an hour by train; from the A52 motorway you can also reach the hotel in a matter of minutes.
The trade fair grounds in Essen are just three short stops away with the U-Bahn (metro) and in addition to this, the most important company headquarters can also be found in the vicinity, such as RWE and E.ON.
Arriving by car
From the west: Take the A2 motorway towards Duisburg. Leave the motorway at the A40 crossing at the Essen Zentrum exit (Essen city centre). Follow the signs towards Saalbau to the hotel.
From the north: Take the A2 motorway towards Oberhausen/Essen. Take the B224 exit (Essen-Gladbeck). Continue along the B224 in the direction of Messa/Gruga. Continue on towards Saalbau/Opernhaus (opera house) to the hotel.
From the south: Take the A3 motorway to the "Breitscheid" crossing, then change to the A52. Turn off at exit 29 (Essen Süd/Zentrum). Continue along the street in the direction of Saalbau/Opernhaus (opera house) to the hotel.
From the east: Take the A44 motorway towards Dortmund. Leave the motorway at the A40 crossing at the Essen Zentrum exit (Essen city centre). Continue on towards Saalbau/Opernhaus (opera house) to the hotel.
Arriving by train
Leave the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and cross the main street, turn right onto Huysenallee and walk up towards the Philharmonie (Philharmonic Hall). After approx. 500 metres, right beside the Philharmonic Hall, is the entrance to the hotel.
Arriving by plane
Fly to Düsseldorf International Airport. From the airport you can reach Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station) in approx. 30 minutes. The hotel is an approx. 5-minute walk from the station.
